LIGNANO - one of the most visited summer holiday destinations of the Adriatic region is situated in the northeastern part of Italy on a sandy shore surrounded by the Di Marano lagoon. Lignano consists of two districts: of Sabbiadoro - the lively one, and of Pineta and Riviera - the quiet ones. A sandy beach with excellent beach service stretches along the whole holiday resort. The water-park Aquasplash, fun-park Guliverlandia, The Hemingway Park and Zoo are of the great attractions not only for children. Nearby the water-park is a summer cinema for children and adults. The many shops, restaurants and coffee bars strengthen the holiday atmosphere. • Marano Lagunare - fishing village with the largest fish market in the region. The town preserved churches and palaces from the period of Venice's greatest magnificence.
• Pordenone - capital of the region, offers rich sightseeing tour of palaces, churches and monasteries. In the historical centre dominate impressive palaces from the Venetian period.
• Sesto al Reghena - former abbey that lies between Podenone and Portogruaro. The monumental complex of buildings changed its appearance over centuries, but nowadays still reminds of the period from the beginning of the European culture.
